    Fat Americans

I just wanted to throw some comments out there about some of the more startling things I have come across.  Did you guys know that 18% of US children are over weight?  How about that the the exercise guidelines layed out by the American College of Sports and Medicine(30 minutes a day cumulative) are really only something simple that they threw out there in order for lazy people to get off there duffs.   If you look into it  you should be exercising whether or not you are fat.  Aerobic exercise is crucial to overall health.
Okay so if you're an American and you are reading this it is probably no surprise that physical education has been diminishing in our schools.  Do you think that maybe kids deserve a chance at a healthy lifestyle?  Do you think that maybe there should be something in place for underprivileged children that don't have a healthy environment to play and be physically active in?  Well .... maybe you should take a look at AAHPERD.  They are trying to make sure kids have access to an hour of physical activity everyday. www.playeveryday.org

Anyone that knows me at all has heard the story of Rachel.  Rachel was my best friend through out highschool.  Well, about four years ago she went off the deep end and started using drugs.  With unlimited financial resources she went down quick.  The majority of the last four years has been hearing periodically from her mom that she was still alive.  Once in a while I would get to see her if she decided to come back to Washington to see her daughter.  A lot of times it felt like we were just waiting for her to die.  Well about a week ago I heard that her mom flew down to Southern California to see if she could get her into rehab.  I honestly felt like it was hopeless.  I prayed a lot,  but mostly that her mom could handle it emotionally.  I called her mom to see how it went and she said that Rachel has checked in.  I can hardly believe it.  Not that all Rachel's problems are over,  but for her to check in is such a miracle.  Her mom said going to California and finding Rachel on the street was like having the red sea part for her.

    I got asked to prom.

But I actually wanted someone else to comment on one of the biggest debates in Evangelical Christianity.  My friend sent me and some other people an email telling of her passion for the church to accept homosexuals.  She quoted some scripture and claims that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality.  She also gave this link.  What do you guys think?
